The Australian Financial Review announced CityState Property’s development in Sydney CBD on Tuesday in the article “CityState to build 37-floor Sydney tower”.

“Residential Developer CityState Property is building a 37-storey mixed-use tower at the corner of Sydney’s Goulburn and Elizabeth Street, now the site of the Crown Hotel and German Lutheran Church, for $63.8 million”

Positioned on Goulburn Street between Nithsdale and Elizabeth Streets, the project is within an easy stroll from Sydney’s entertainment, cultural and leisure destinations, including Darling Harbour, Hyde Park, Chinatown and George Street.

“The Developer has started a Stage 1 development application for the corner site at 90 – 104 Goulburn Street which spans over seven lots. The project will involve a building envelope with a height of up to 121 metres.”

The indicative design by SJB Architects features 143 apartments, 4 boutique retail stores, 2,190sqm of commercial office space over 6 levels, and basement parking, with the retention and enhancement of the Crown Hotel, German Lutheran Church and the Goldsmith Building front portion.

“The Company is run by Mark Maryska, formerly of Multiplex and Laing O’Rourke. The other co-founder is Scott Thomas, who has 27 years of experience in development and construction.”
